Welcome

I am proud of my family. I love Jesus. I am not perfect. I like junk food, particularly potato chips. I work out with my sexy rock star husband. I hate it. I do it for the company. My children make my heart beat. I was once a full time photographer. I retired to loose my sanity by becoming a stay-at-home Mom. I recently came out of retirement to avoid the looney-bin. Please enjoy the funny stories of my family, the hilarity of me trying to work out & find my skinny and the every-now-and-then crafts that I begin but rarely finish.

New Goals and New Obsessions

I think that we've already covered Alexander's Transformers' obsession here and here and here so it's no surprise that every time we go to the store, Mr. 4 year old entitled boy thinks he should be able to get a new toy. When the word 'no' escapes our lips, a panic-temper-hyperventilating-all-out-fall-out-fit occurs.
So we've come up with a helpful goal to have him earn a few of his own Transformers. Whenever Alexander helps pick up toys, help his sisters and just about anything that shows eagerness to help, he earns quarters. Once he gets his coins, they get taped to his chart. Once the chart is full, the page will total $15.75 and Daddy & Momma will help him finish the purchase of a $20.00 Robot. I'm really proud of him. He gets excited when he makes a new quarter. He's changed his mind at least 20 times when he adds a new coin to his chart.

From one obsession to another:
The Snacker Sisters are obsessed with shoving food down their shirts. Corn, green beans, chips, crackers, FRUIT SNACKS. Lets talk about the fruit snacks. Once the girls are full from eating and are tired of said snacks, they've learned how fun it is to dump most of the left-over food down their shirts or whatever top they are wearing.
On a certain occasion in which an unnamed parent {who shall remain nameless} kept them for the day while another unnamed parent left to go to work for the only day she gets out of the house since the other parent works 5 days a week. On that day, Sophie tucked a red Scooby Snack away for safe keeping in her sleeper and Izzy felt like saving a blue one for later. Sophie's made it to to her warm belly and stuck there.
Izzy's made it all the way down to the bottom of her toe, melted into a blob & stuck the toe to the pj.
Fun times cleaning that up.
I just keep tellin' people: we're learnin' as we go...
