Welcome

I am proud of my family. I love Jesus. I am not perfect. I like junk food, particularly potato chips. I work out with my sexy rock star husband. I hate it. I do it for the company. My children make my heart beat. I was once a full time photographer. I retired to loose my sanity by becoming a stay-at-home Mom. I recently came out of retirement to avoid the looney-bin. Please enjoy the funny stories of my family, the hilarity of me trying to work out & find my skinny and the every-now-and-then crafts that I begin but rarely finish.

Passing down....

....the Sacred Chest.

Labor Day this year was a momentous one in the Stelly household.

For years I've been hearing Chris' sisters talk about, how as young girls, wanting so badly to see what was in the forbidden blue chest . It was held very sacred under lock and key in his boyhood bedroom. No one was able to get into it because of a certain key. The kind you need to open those cheap luggage locks.

Nonetheless, we couldn't open it back a few weeks ago when Alexander asked so sweetly, "Daddy, can I see what's in that blue box under Sophie's bed?" Of course, Chris couldn't remember where he left the aforementioned key.

After a few days of searching for one particular Crown Royal bag with childhood covert objects, the key was found. However, he found it during morning nap time and the Evil Step Mother wouldn't let the poor Cinderfella wake up the Sweet Step Sisters just to get the blue box from under Sophie's bed.

Once Sleeping beauties were up, Dad brought the Holy of Holys into Brother's room.

**Que Angels singing......**

Where was I? Oh yeah, the Blue box.

It's sacred contents include:
  • Unnumbered Garbage Pail Kid's stickers lining the lid & box;
  • G.I. Joe figures including A.L.L. of the "constructions." (That's "instructions" in 4 yr. old talk) Yes, Folks, just like his 4 year old Son does for all toys we've bought for him, my husband kept all of the instructions for toys that his parents bought for him....weird)
  • One VERY LARGE stack of G.I. Joe AND Transformers comic books;
.....and....

wait for it, wait for it......

CHRIS' CHILDHOOD TRANSFORMERS.....
(Yes people, 30something year old Transformers!! I'm tempted to Google those puppies to find out some worth!!)

You'da thought Santa visited our house!

Come to think of it, we shoulda waited until Christmas to bring that sucker out!

Oh well, hindsight...

I don't really know who was the most excited, Father or Son....

All I know is, our 4 year old has something new being held over his head for good/bad behavior.

Yep, I'm that kinda Momma....
