Welcome

I am proud of my family. I love Jesus. I am not perfect. I like junk food, particularly potato chips. I work out with my sexy rock star husband. I hate it. I do it for the company. My children make my heart beat. I was once a full time photographer. I retired to loose my sanity by becoming a stay-at-home Mom. I recently came out of retirement to avoid the looney-bin. Please enjoy the funny stories of my family, the hilarity of me trying to work out & find my skinny and the every-now-and-then crafts that I begin but rarely finish.

End of The Summer Snowballs

This is it.
It's not as hot anymore.
We went out for one last snowball.

Then they got to swing off all of that sugar energy!!

What a gorgeous evening.

The days are getting shorter.
Won't be able to hang out in the evenings like this much longer.

Nice hair Bubb!

How hot is my husband, I ask you?!?!?!

This one swings to the beat of her own drum

I think it's time to pass down the "Hot Pants" to Mary.
Gettin' a bit tight there, Sistas!!

This one can't "thwing witowt ma sunglathes...."

Looka What I Drawed

So, Izzy came to me & says,

"momma, looka what I drawed."

She loves sitting at her doodle pad,

drawing for long periods of time.

I wasn't surprised when

she brought it to me.

I was, however, surprised

when she came to me with this:
I was so impressed I had to take a picture.

She's two & a half years old.

Impressive.

Not to be out-done by his

two & a half year old sister,

Alexander came to me & says,

"Look what I drew."
Chris pointed out to me that

neither of them are self-portraits.

Alexander always, and I mean always,

draws his birthmark

on the side of his mouth

when he's drawing himself.

Not kidding.
Then he got to working on his numbers.

Not bad.
Sophie, not to be outdone by either her

five year old brother

or her

two & a half year old sister,

comes to me and says,

"momma, looka what I drawed."

It took us a while.

Looking at all angles,

different ideas came up.

Nothing prepared us

for her answer.

Turds.

Nice.

Friday Movie Night

Alternately Titled:
Let's put the mattress on the Floor and have Movie Night
 Alternately Titled:
Let's let the kids tire themselves out by jumping on the mattress before Movie Night
 Alternately Titled:
Let's pray none of our kids fall & bust their heads open while jumping on the mattress before Movie Night

 Alternately Titled:
The Goofier they get, the Tireder they get by jumping on the mattress before Movie Night

Daddy Got a New Hair Cut

Just had to document the momentous occasion.
It only comes around once or twice a year

I am completely...

smitten over this boy...
...Giggly over his goofiness
...Fluttery over his silliness
...Crazy about his Boldness.

Melting Crayons

Everybody's doing it.

Why not us?

It could be fun.

I put it off long enough.

I didn't think the girls would "get it."

But they did great.

They each got turns picking out the colors & breaking them into the tins.
They even picked the right colors.
I told them, "pick out a yellow one & put it in the yellow tin."

I guess I totally underestimate them sometimes.

At least Chris says I do.
Serious concentration.
(Note: see their set tongues?)

"We did it!!"
Into a 250 degree oven for 1/2 hour.
Let 'em set & you're good to go.

Landry The Gentle

Our Godson {and the Love of Izzy's Life}, Landry turned seven yesterday. It gave us another great opportunity to have a fun late summer swimming party.

Kindergarten Soccer

This year was Alexander's 1st year playing soccer.
We loved it after today's first game!
He was all over that little half field!

He scored a goal during warm up and was so excited!

Kermit Visited our House

So, this weekend the Kindergarten Class' pet, Kermit, came to stay at our house.
Alexander was instructed to care for him, snuggle with him, share with him and enjoy everything that comes along with bringing home a stuffed animal to his house.
{wink, wink}
[We were also told to photograph the evidence of Kermit enjoying everyday Stelly Life, so enjoy the following pictures:]
Kermit enjoyed Story Time Friday night before bedtime

Sunday Morning, Kermit came with us to 9:45 Mass
(Hint: Keeping a Stuffed Frog quiet for an hour requires stuffing him at the bottom of your twin sisters' diaper bag.
ahem, You're Welcome.)
After church & lunch, we took Kermit on a ride on the Golf Cart at Nonny & Paw Paw's.

Izzy was most excited about holding him during the ride.
It was swim time once we got to MeMe & Poppy's so Kermit had to sit that part of the visit out. He enjoyed some quiet time once again in the bottom of the diaper bag.
