To My Dearest Love,
I made an omelet today.
It was the first one in my life to ever make by myself.
I got a wild hair.
Don't ask why I don't have those wild hair things while you're at home.
I don't know why.
I have to admit, I'm pretty proud of it.
The Girls ate every morsel.
Even Sophie ate the eggs.
Down to the bell peppers & red onions.
I think it had something more to do with the cheese & pork sausage.
We shared the breakfast, the three of us.
I enjoyed it, too.
Very much.
Just don't expect me to make one soon.
We're out of eggs.
Plus the girls made a mess in their room again.
Oh, who am I kidding, they make this mess everyday.
Today it took more than 20 minutes to clean it.
So, I'm opting out of cleaning it up tomorrow morning.
I love you, but I'm sleeping in.
Love, The Love of Your Life
p.s. If it's still breakfast time when I wake up in the morning, I'll drive to Albertson's, buy eggs, fry the pork sausage & remake the lovely breakfast that Izzy, Sophie & Momma had the pleasure of experiencing this morning.
I love you that much.
Welcome
I am proud of my family. I love Jesus. I am not perfect. I like junk food, particularly potato chips. I work out with my sexy rock star husband. I hate it. I do it for the company. My children make my heart beat. I was once a full time photographer. I retired to loose my sanity by becoming a stay-at-home Mom. I recently came out of retirement to avoid the looney-bin. Please enjoy the funny stories of my family, the hilarity of me trying to work out & find my skinny and the every-now-and-then crafts that I begin but rarely finish.

Don't Tell NO ONE, OK?
Alexander: Mom, I have to tell you something.
Mom: OK, What?
Alexander: Don't tell no one, okay?
Mom: OK, Alexander.
Alexander: Kids just know things.
Mom: What kinds of things?
Alexander: Just things. All kinds of things. They just know. Don't tell NO ONE, OK?
Mom: OK, Bubb, I won't tell NO ONE.
Alexander: You know how I know these things?
Mom: How Bubb?
Alexander: 'Cause I'm a kid. Don't tell NO ONE, OK?
Mom: OK, What?

Conversations with an Almost Five Year Old
Enter Mom & Bubb finishing nightly prayers.
Alexander: Mom, I don't want you to die.
Mom: Bubb, what makes you think I'm dying?
Alexander: I saw a lady on Dad's CD and she was smoking and she could die.
Mom: Bubb, I don't smoke.
Alexander: Are you gonna die?
Mom: Hopefully not for a long time. You know, some people who smoke don't die. It's all in what God has planned for your life.
Alexander: Um, what happens when you die?
Mom: Well, we believe that if you have Jesus in your heart you will go to heaven.
Alexander: No, what happens when you die? Like will you fly to heaven?
Mom: Well, our souls go to heaven and our bodies stay here on earth.
Alexander: No, no, how do you die?
{Insert Mom sweating....NOW!}
Mom: Well, your heart might stop beating and you stop breathing.
Alexander: You mean we don't breath in heaven?
Mom: I'm not sure but I don't think so.
Alexander: What is heaven like?
Mom: Oh my, there are angels everywhere with huge, beautiful wings and big houses with swimming pools and streets made out of gold. It's a very beautiful place.
Alexander: Will Dad need to bring the stroller?
{Insert stifled giggles}
Mom: Huh? Why would we bring the stroller?
......long, awkward pause......
Alexander: Well, um, what does our heart look like?
Mom: Uhhh, I think that might be something we can look up tomorrow on the internet.
Alexander: Well, is it like a heart on a Thanksgiving Card?
Mom: Okay, are you stalling? Because if you are, I'm going now. Go to sleep, Bubb.
Alexander: Mom, I'm glad you don't smoke & you're not gonna DIE!!!
