Welcome

I am proud of my family. I love Jesus. I am not perfect. I like junk food, particularly potato chips. I work out with my sexy rock star husband. I hate it. I do it for the company. My children make my heart beat. I was once a full time photographer. I retired to loose my sanity by becoming a stay-at-home Mom. I recently came out of retirement to avoid the looney-bin. Please enjoy the funny stories of my family, the hilarity of me trying to work out & find my skinny and the every-now-and-then crafts that I begin but rarely finish.

Big Girl Beds

MeMe & Poppie called this morning & asked if we were ready for the big girl beds. We quickly took down the cribs & made room for Poppy to bring the two white iron beds that Chris' sisters grew up on.

To say that Sophia & Isabella were ecstatic would be an understatement.
Major understatement.

We didn't tell them what we were doing & when Alexander came in, he took a look at the room & thought we were moving.

Then Poppie got here & got to work.

Sophie got to help with his tools. Big responsibility.

Bubb even came in to help

No problem getting them down at bedtime. I think they're so excited to have big beds like Bubb:-)

It Took a Month, but We're Jumpin'

Santa brought us a trampoline.

Mother Nature brought us cold rainy weather.

We haven't jumped yet.

Until today.

The girls' hair made me hysterical.

I could barely hold my camera still I was laughing so hard!

Izzy came up with all kinds of "jumin' rules" out of no where.

Sophie just wanted to jump.
"Nah, I don't wanna you's rules, Izzy"
~
~
Naturally, an argument and wrestling ensued.

Naturally, someone ended up crying.
Actually, they both ended up crying.

Then I made them look at each other's hair.
And we all started laughing.

Zoo'ing it with Friends

Today we hooked up with my Best Friend from high school.
Izzy & Sophie are just a few months older than her son, Thomas.
Um, SO CUTE. He and Sophie wanted to hold hands all day.
We also met up with one of my church friends, Alyssa & her boys, Seth & Drew.
This is how Seth looked E.V.E.R.Y.T.I.M.E. I pointed the camera to him.
He could be in a GAP ad, I swear.
They loved the crickets that were going to be fed to Izzy's beloved OTTERS.
Sophie wanted to take one home.
Thomas wanted to eat one.
Melissa wanted to puke.
We had snack time at half time.
Thomas' hair would be standing up at all ends when he'd come down the slide.
Seth would jump so high from that hippo & land flat on his feet. He could be a gymnist, I swear.
Izzy wanted to sit next to that smelly goat all day long.
She envited her buddies to come smell him, too.
 Sweet Drew.
He ran and ran and ran all over the petting zoo.
He ran so fast that he tripped in a puddle of smelly goat tee-tee rain water.

We had such a great day!
The girls cried when we had to say goodbye to all of their boyfriends.

Like Brother, Like Sister

Seriously.
What is it about
kids
and
markers?
.......
You'd think I would have learned my lesson by now.
.
.
Alexander did this, too.
.
At this exact age.

Bringing in 2001

Today we went out to New Roads for our Annual New Years lunch at our Cousins, Monica & Freddie's. There is always TONS of food and we just eat & eat & eat.
The kids all play so good together & love being with all of the bigger kids. The older ones are always so patient & kind to all of our youngers. They just can't wait to see them when we go there.

Right before we left, Mr. Jimmy, my Father-In-Law, was sitting on the hearth with his three granddaughters. It was so cute! I.just.had.to.shoot.it.
They LOVE Poppie!
